Rooted Weekend

This pilot Rooted weekend is for anyone aged 18-35 who is hungry for more of God and passionate about stepping into the Kingdom influence they’re called to have.

How are your roots?

All of us are called to have adventures with God; to live lives of radical and joy-filled obedience to Him. God invites us to abide in Him and promises, as a result, that we will bear much fruit. The truth is that what God does through us is in direct proportion to what we allow Him to do in us. So how are your roots?

The Rooted weekend will focus on strengthening and deepening our roots in God:

  • We want to be increasingly rooted in the love of God and to know Him as our good Father.

  • We want the truth of our identity as sons and daughters to go deeper, so that we enjoy greater security in Him.

  • We want to step with increased confidence into God's unique and significant call on our lives.

Ultimately our prayer as a team is the same as Paul’s prayer for the believers in Ephesus: that we would be rooted and grounded in love, and that everything we do would flow from that place.

The Rooted weekend will be a mixture of worship, teaching, group discussion, and lots of time to encounter God together. We’re also really keen to have quality connection time with each other and opportunities to chill out and have fun.

We cannot wait to see what God will do in us and through us as we set aside a weekend to be with Him and invite Him to meet with us.

Come as you are, let the Father pour His love into you, and enjoy the journey of being increasingly rooted in Him.

Where is the weekend taking place and how do I get there?

In the beautiful setting of Ringsfield Hall Eco Activity Centre, Hall Road, Beccles, Suffolk NR34 8JR. How do I get to Ringsfield Hall? Will there be transport available? If transport is an issue for you we can try and put you in touch with others travelling from your area to see if they have space in their car. If you’re applying for the weekend and you’re willing and able to offer a lift to others, please let us know.

What is the cost and can I pay in installments?

We have two ticket options: - Standard rate per person - £135 - Group discount of 20% off (2 or more) - £108 Can I sponsor someone's ticket? Absolutely - just get in touch by emailling wendymannequip@gmail.com and reference the Rooted Weekend. Can I pay for my ticket in instalments? Yes! If you are successful in getting a place on the weekend we ask that you pay a £50 non-refundable deposit to secure your place, within 7 days of your acceptance. The rest of your ticket balance can then be paid in installments. Please make a plan with the Equip team as to how you’d like to do this. Your ticket must be paid for in full by 30th November.

Can I request to have my own room/share a room with a friend?

Most of the rooms at Ringsfield Hall are sharing rooms so we cannot offer delegates rooms on their own. If you book in with a friend/friends we will assume that you want to share a room together. Even if you book in with friends, we are likely to put you in a room with other people, to maximise the space that is available to us.

I’m assuming if we’re married we get our own room?

If you book in as a married couple our aim would be to give you your own room. There are a limited number of double rooms at Ringsfield Hall, so get your application in quickly if you want to secure a place. Equally, let us know if you’re happy to share with others in single-sexed rooms for the weekend. This will mean we have space available for more delegates at our Rooted weekend.

Can we bring children?

Sadly we can’t cater for children at our pilot Rooted weekend. If you have a baby who isn’t yet crawling or walking, then we are happy for you to bring them with you. Just let us know about them when you book in.

Will the weekend cater for different dietary requirements?

Yes! All dietary requirements can be catered for. We will ask for these details from you when you fill out the application form.

What time do we arrive on the 11th Feb and what time does the weekend finish on the 13th?

We are hoping that you will be able to arrive at Ringsfield Hall on the 11th from 4pm in time to settle in and have dinner before the first session in the evening. On the Sunday we will have lunch together, have a final session where we’ll take communion and pray for each other, and then set off back home by 4pm.

Can you give us a rough idea of the schedule for the weekend?

We are still working out the schedule and asking God about the content for the weekend. We will aim to have around 6 sessions throughout the weekend that are a mixture of worship, encounter with God, teaching and group discussion. We will also have social time in the evenings and Saturday afternoon will be set aside for free time. The beach isn’t too far away!

Will the Rooted weekend be COVID safe and what will happen if we’re not able to go away due to another lockdown?

We will make sure we are COVID safe, whatever that looks like by February 2022. We would really hope by then that we won’t be facing anymore lockdowns, but in the unlikely event that we are, we will refund all monies or carry them over to another weekend date later in the year. You can decide which option you would like to choose.

Can we buy day tickets and just come for a day?

Not this time, sorry. We're really keen for those who attend our pilot weekend to commit to the whole time.
